War Horse
The ensemble feel of the film doesn’t bode well for acting nominations. There are excellent performances to spare (especially Arestrup, Kebbell, Hiddleston, and Cumberbatch), but no one but the horse really has the time to either be the show or steal the show in a way that makes a nomination seem obvious. There are some moments and some speeches that would look good on an Oscar reel, but as much...

Benedict's hair is Auburn (not blonde, not ginger...
For some reason it irritates me when fans exaggerate Benedict’s hair colour. Its AUBURN and he’s said so himself (its the shade you see in the Last Enemy or Fortysomething) but fans insist on saying he’s a natural Blonde or bright ginger. Its not.  I think I get irritated because his hair colour seems to be talked about so damn much when it should be his amazing acting.

I hate Rebeccas British Accent. "Daunse" instead...
It sounds so bad because she’s an Australian actress struggling with the British accent.

The Playlist on Benedict
Is there an unlikelier star to have emerged in the last year than Benedict Cumberbatch? The gangly British actor, who broke through to film as the rapist in “Atonement,” isn’t your picture of an average leading man, but thanks to his role in the BBC’s “Sherlock,” and an Oscar-tipped supporting performance in “Tinker Tailor Soldier Spy,” not to...

Looking forward to Benedict and Charlie Cox filming the comedy Where There’s a Will in Ireland.  I wonder who they’ll pick for the third brother. I suspect its the youngest brother they still havent named so probably needs to be early to mid 20’s.  They arent playing Irish people but Colin Morgan would fit well.

The Evening Standard’s theatre critic Henry Hitchings said: “It’s been a fantastic year for musicals I’m thinking he’s given a clue to the final outcome of best actor. Benedict and Jonny wont win.  Bertie carvel will win for Matilda. http://www.thestage.co.uk/news/newsstory.php/34144/commercial-theatre-struggles-in-evening

Chris Hayward, head of investment at Zenith Optimedia, a media agency which buys advertising slots, said: “In the current economic climate people are more receptive than ever to high-quality programming that is there purely to entertain. Viewers want to leave the weekend in a happy frame of mind.” ITV spent £1m per episode on Downton Abbey, which has huge global sales potential. The...

Cant help but think the lack sex in Downton Abbey is to accommodate US tv requirements. Probably stops cuts being made over there. Its shown after 9pm in the UK so they could have included some nudity etc. Series 2 has had the whiff of one trying to please the US market. UK life has been demystified so anyone across the world can understand it. The lack of any real passionate kisses is a bit...

Jan Moir's review of Downton
Meanwhile, Mr Bates has been carted off in handcuffs, Branson has carted off Lady Sybil and Matthew is roaring around shouting such things as ‘Damn  this stick!’ and being more  melodramatic than usual. ‘I know it’s a cliché,’ he cried at one point, shouting to be hear over the thundering ‘background’ music and Lady Mary doing her special blinking vole look. Cliché? That hasn’t stopped Fellowes...

dederants: Not trying to be a twat, but I hear there are people complaining about fake quotes from Benedict Cumberbatch and Martin Freeman going around. Again, not to be a twat, but I find them rather funny and quite creative. It’s obvious that these same people doing the complaining not only don’t see the… Bu they arent funny. Just stupid inane remarks.

ununpentium: and it seems like the whole point of making them is to laugh when other people believe them. Okay, the source is fake, but a lot of people don’t properly check the source if they can just see the Guardian or Times logo at the bottom, but it’s still not right to laugh at them if they don’t check. I agree with you. Bloody pointless thing to do.

The gorgeous Andrew Buchan can make up for no Downton Abbey on Sunday night’s. Buchan recently asked Amy Nuttal - Ethel in Downton to marry him.
